A great read for those who still haven’t had the opportunity to read this wonderful article from the Oct 27, 1972 issue of LIFE: A genius and his magic camera. Dr Land of Polaroid demonstrates the SX-70.

This is how I keep my Impossible Project silvershade away from light as it exits the camera and while it develops. A simple and durable solution to a small problem.

Nusfjord - One of the oldest and most well preserved fisherman’s villages in Norway.
This has to be one of the most peaceful places I have been to. Hidden at the head of a fjord in the Lofoten islands of Norway, between tall mountains and thick forests, it lies with it’s approximately 26 permanent inhabitants, colonial store, dining hall and numerous fisherman’s cottages. At any given moment, at any day, you can stand there, and not hear a single noise except the seagulls and other birds. And sometimes, not even those can be heard.

This is an old German marine canon from WW2, at the top of a hillside in Sandnessjøen, Norway. This hillside was heavily fortified during that time, something which now can be seen by observing the ridiculous amounts of doors, shelters and bunkers all the way up the hill.
